What is the opportunity?

To provide a comprehensive credit analysis of corporates and financial institutions, research function for the Department as well as to support marketing and carry out administrative and monitoring activities of the Department.

What will you be doing?

  • Conduct full credit analysis for the establishment, amendment and renewal of credit and rating applications for the Department.
  • Prepare credit applications for both corporate clients, financial institutions in order to get internal approval.
  • Assist marketing activities – including attending customer/bank meetings.
  • Review legal documentation.
  • Coordinate and monitor the credit application pipeline for efficient process management with Credit Department.
  • Provide general support and assistance to the team.
  • Share various expertise with team members or other stakeholder.
  • Monitor and report problem loans in accordance with the bank’s procedures, in particular completion of self-assessment, close watch, monitoring reports and ad-hoc credit analysis.
  • Ensure that credit work comply with Mizuho’s internal policies.

What do you need to succeed?

  • Fundamental analysis (balance sheet, profit & loss and cash-flow statements).
  • Self-driven with strong attention to detail.
  • Highly organised with the ability to manage competing priorities and deadlines.
  • Good communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently, as well as part of the team.
  • An interest in global economic and political events.
  • Computer literacy (Excel, Word and PowerPoint).

 

 

Desirable

  • Sector exposure: Oil & Gas and/or  Financial Institutions.
  • Technical skills/knowledge:
    • Product knowledge in trade finance, i.e. L/C, IDF, SCF, pre-export finance.
    • Legal documentation knowledge.
