Profile Summary

European Corporate Finance is the Client Coverage and Origination team for European Corporate and Financial Institutions clients in EMEA, and is responsible for the client management of over 350 global names. 

The role of the Personal Assistant in European Corporate Finance is to support the Leadership Team across a variety of tasks including travel and accommodation, organising events and conferences, client engagement and diary management. The role also captures work undertaken by the Chief Operating Office where responsibilities span internal operational, organisational, HR, administration and business projects, procedures and initiatives, with a particular focus on continuous improvement, business facilitation and operational effectiveness.


This is a busy and varied role, requiring a committed and dedicated individual who is able to work proactively and with initiative across a broad spectrum of tasks. Structured thinking and an ability to distil challenges to a core set of priorities are necessary traits, as are top organisational skills, an eye for detail and being able to deliver to deadlines. Being a great communicator is essential as is being able to build strong stakeholder relationships. The successful candidate needs to demonstrate an ability to navigate a complex operational environment, deliver excellent results and be capable of rapid learning and development.

Duties and Responsibilities

•    Organisation of travel, itineraries and documentation for the Leadership Team.
•    Management of the Leadership Team’s diaries.
•    Co-ordination of business conferences and events, and client entertainment events. 
•    Application of organisational and execution skills to a broad spectrum of activities that fall within the remit of the Chief Operating Office.
•    Analysis of business and operational processes to identify improvement opportunities, report on those opportunities and devise and execute appropriate plans.
•    Support of a wide variety of Learning and Development efforts across the team; organise and coordinate training sessions. 
•    Responsibility for the development and annual planning of the Social Committee including seeking budget when needed.
•    Assistance with the organisation of New Business Committee Meetings, Executive Officer Presentations and Client Strategic Reviews, ensuring efficient coordination, correct documentation and appropriate record keeping.
•    Work with all the financial processes applicable within the bank incorporating budgeting, invoicing and expenses..
•    Development and maintenance of a strong network across the department and the Bank. 


Qualifications, Skills and Experience

•    Excellent interpersonal, communication and influencing skills 
•    Excellent time management and organisational skills
•    Team-orientated with a focus on collaboration 
•    Strong analytical skills 
•    Strong computer literacy, particularly Excel and Powerpoint
•    Creative mindset and experience in communication activity
•    Self-motivated; excels in an environment of multiple deliverables and competing timelines; passion for, and track record of, achieving best outcomes
•    Minimum two years of experience within a top tier corporate or investment bank
