We are currently recruiting for an IT Project Manager

 

Profile Summary


To provide project management on all key IT investment projects and work streams.


Duties and Responsibilities


•    Overall project management of all assigned IT projects including without limitation preparation of the project initiation document (PID), project plan (Gantt chart), project organisation chart, project budget application (ringi) and system release documentation
•    Work across IT/business functions to define the project scope and approach
•    Managing changes and ensuring appropriate documentation is available (PID, BRD,FRDs etc) 
•    Preparation of IT Strategy Committee or CIO/Sub CIO level documentation where required for the project
•    Ensure all project deliverables are created and adhere to the required quality/risk management policies.
•    Managing internal and external resources in a matrix organisation structure.
•    Co-work with the IT planning team and Europe Administration Department to get the budget approved
•    Ensure projects are tracked against budget and delivered within the approved budget.
•    Monthly preparation and reporting to Project Steering Committee, where applicable
•    Vendor management including negotiating statement of works, contracts and service level agreements 
•    Weekly project status reporting to the planning team and EIOD management (plus other stakeholders where applicable).
•    Ensure projects are delivered against the project plan and all milestones are met
•    Proactively seek to resolve risks and issues escalating when required.
•    Deployment and release coordination

 

Qualifications, Skills and Experience


•    Solid experience in delivering complex IT projects/programmes 
•    Good technical understanding of IT and the System Development Lifecycle (SDLC)
•    Relevant Project management qualification (APM, PMP etc) 
•    Good understanding of project management methodologies
•    Understanding of financial market products 
•    Customer focused with a service delivery mentality
•    Excellent organisational and time management skills
•    Excellent communication skills
•    Proven track record of driving change
•    Strong decision making skills
•    Proven ability to work in high pressured environments. 
•    Excellent problem solving skills
