We are currently recruiting for a Coverage Analyst / Associate Corporate Banking (m/f/d) for the Transport & Automotive team in Frankfurt a. Main, Germany

The European Corporate Finance Department, which comprises client coverage and origination teams for Mizuho’s clients, is organized across six industry verticals. Two industry verticals, Transport & Automotive and Industrials, are headed out of our Frankfurt office with responsibility for the EMEA region.

 

Job Responsibilities:

 

The Transport & Automotive team provides services tailored to meet the needs of our client base in the EMEA region. Working within the team means offering expert industry insight to our clients ranging from Automotive OEM to Suppliers, Logistics, Shipping and Mobility Service Provider. Team members are responsible to deliver Mizuho’s global Corporate Banking platform to clients, working together with product partners across the globe.

 

The Coverage Analyst / Associate Corporate Banking within the Transport & Automotive Coverage Team will need to:

 

  • Proactively participate in client relationship management and origination, working closely with the Global Relationship Managers
  • Prepare internal briefing memos, maintain client relationship overviews, conduct financial analysis and support credit applications for new transactions
  • Support business idea generation by providing in-depth analysis and forecasting, financial modelling and company research
  • Create high quality presentation materials and pitch books for client meetings
  • Compile industry-specific information and provide valuable insights for clients as well as internal stakeholders across the covered sectors
  • Assist in the coordination and execution of cross-selling opportunities (including Debt & Equity Capital Markets, FX & Derivatives, Trade Finance and others)
  • Collaborate with key product partners, business functions and other stakeholders across international offices and divisions of the bank in support of client relationships
  • Develop an understanding of key industry themes and developments across the covered sectors
  • Develop and maintain a strong network across Mizuho

 

 

Your Profile:

  • University Degree (Master degree preferred, but not required)
  • Preferably prior experience within a top tier Corporate & Investment Bank in a client-facing role, either in a full-time position or via relevant internships
  • Good understanding of Corporate Finance principles
  • Excellent mathematical and analytical skills
  • Self-motivated and passionate with a track record of achieving the best possible outcomes
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to build lasting relationships
  • Excellent time management, organizational skills and an eye for detail
  • Computer Literacy: MS Office Suite with emphasis on Excel and PowerPoint
  • Language Skills: English and German required, further European or Asian languages beneficial
