We are recruting for a Treasury Operations Analyst on a 6 month Fixed Term contract


Profile Summary

The Treasury Operations Team are responsible for the timely confirmation and settlement of  the London and  EMEA branches FX & Money Market trades dealt with the Banks clients and external counterparties. This team comprises of 18-20 staff and  works with large volumes of trades which are high value and settlement is subject to market deadlines and regulations using a variety of systems and EUC’s. Team members need to be able to work under pressure, with a high level of attention to detail, liaising with clients, front offices, auditors and following detailed procedures. 

Duties and Responsibilities


•    To provide both operational system knowledge and procedural support to the team leader ensuring that established processes are adapted/enhanced to ensure a consistently high level of service
•    Successful implementation of new processes and procedures enhancing controls and mitigating risk.
•    Comprehensive and effective set-up of Management information to enable Senior management to monitor the business and satisfy HO and other report requirements.
•    Reporting is produced on a timely and accurate basis.
•    All audit requirements fulfilled within related timeframes ensuring any gaps are identified, documented and communicated in a timely manner.
•    Ensure SWIFT system is fully operational at all times and alerting relevant departments/offices immediately of any significant problems. Monitoring alarms and escalating those where necessary.
•    Ensure correct Set up, Maintenance and Deletion of RMA’s 
•    Monitor and Distribute incoming messages using the SATS system.
•    Monitor and Update the Fircosoft transaction filtering system with updated sanction list files.
•    Assist with the daily duties in the running of the operations services/activities outsourced from the various EMEA offices.
•    Ensure any FX/MM cash breaks are investigated, Reaching out to relevant clients to assist the break to be resolved promptly.
•    Ensure timely confirmation of FX/MM deals booked in the name of Mizuho Bank, London
•    Identify and investigate miss matches promptly and escalate as needed.
•    Ensure any unmatched deals are chased daily with the client.
•    Ensure all tasks are carried out as per procedure.
•    Ensure all Weekly, Monthly, Quarterly tasks are carried out correctly.
•    Support new initiatives and projects.


Qualifications, Skills and Experience

•    Experience of FX & MM Settlements and confirmations.
•    Demonstrate ability to document accurate processes and procedures.
•    Confidently demonstrate to Auditors the functions with the team.
•    Strong Microsoft office skills to produce management reporting.
•    Demonstrate product knowledge – FX (CLS) and MM.
•    Demonstrate General Banking Skills
•    Demonstrate knowledge on Money Laundering procedures
•    System use skills on Microsoft office manager products.
•    Knowledge of Confirmation Matching  
•    Knowledge of the SWIFT system and RMA process
•    Knowledge of cash break investigations
