We are currently recruiting for an Operations Planning Analyst

 

Profile Summary


The Operations Planning sits within “Europe IT and Operations Department” (EIOD). 
Its main aim and responsibilities are to support EIOD Management achieve its operational resilience, accuracy and efficiency across EIOD.

 

Duties and Responsibilities


•    To make comprehensive analysis of one’s own motion, think out solution / counter measure and suggest / consult own idea to management as well as related stakeholders, and conduct to the goal by utilising own below-mentioned knowledge and skill set of operations planning.

•    To provide dedicated Planning and Management Support function within the Operations area of EIOD. It aims to support the Head of Operations and Group Head and in Operations, annual business planning and associated business budgets. 

•    To suggest / consult own idea with, follow instruction of, and support the fulfilment of the responsibilities of , the Head of Operations and Group Head to lead operational efficiency projects and coordinate with related parties including HO departments

•    The role also supports / improves operations in regards to management information, audit requests and providing data for complex EMEA charging calculations and periodical SLA revision and update with EMEA offices. 

•    To review and analyse Operational Error Reports (OER), Internal Operations Procedures (IOP), Control Self Assessment (CSA), Key Risk Indicator (KRI), as well as Intra-Office Inspection (IOI), and provide effective advise / guidance with adherence to Head Office Procedure (HOP) and local regulations.

•    To Ensure that those activities are adequately documented and explained to relevant H.O departments and other departments / offices in London / Europe as an aspects of liaison role.

•    To assist Group Head to coordinate Business Continuity Plan (BCP) for operations and support management in case of BCP.

•    To continue to develop Management Information plan, working with and seeking agreement with departments to obtain, collate & analyse information for inclusion in monthly Senior Management pack. 

•    To formalise the understanding of the current issues, and provide an approach / way forward to address the challenge. 

•    To provide insight to develop the existing frameworks to streamline the business (process frameworks, quantitative business analysis), consulting with Group Head.

•    To assist, support, control and improve / streamline BAU periodical report, application and data collection and distribution.

•    To Support the Head of Operation & Group Head duties with any necessary administrative tasks timely.

•    To share own knowledge and know how with, and train other members within section as well as relevant sections to improve / streamline operations resilience and efficiency. 

 

 

Qualifications, Skills and Experience

 

Essential


•    Experience in analysing and collating disparate information for senior management presentations (including Hands-on excel pivot tables & advanced PowerPoint, as well as Visio or equivalent process flow analysis tool) with high / intricate levels of detail.

•    Excellent diplomacy and collaborative skills, with ability to persuade whilst still able to hold people to account.

•    Task driven, detail orientated and used to working in close collaboration with different cultures, with ability to mature ways of working and bring structure to unstructured and ad/hoc processes.

 

Desirable

 

•    Degree qualified 
•    Financial or Banking background experience
•    Excellent knowledge of international banking business
