Profile Summary


The fundamental role of the Director is to engage in the marketing and origination of new business opportunities in the Financial Institutions Sector in the EMEA region. 
Our FIG Coverage team acts as the central coverage point for Western European banks, insurance companies and other non-bank financial institutions. The FIG team works closely with the specialist product coverage teams to provide coverage at C-Suite / Senior Treasury level, and with IFIBD (control office of FIs) to control the dialogue around balance of trade and reciprocity.

 

This is a newly established team, in a high growth business area looking for a self-motivated, analytical thinker with an entrepreneurial spirit, to drive the business forward.

 

Duties and Responsibilities


•    Provide effective support to the Head of FIG, with direct responsibility for NBFI FIG for managing a portfolio of NBFI FIG relationships
•    Lead in the preparation and delivery of high quality pitch books that demonstrate corporate finance analysis and integrated solutions
•    Coordinate and execute bank business transactions with the relevant internal product groups and business functions
•    Act as the primary point of contact in terms of communicating progress and updates with clients
•    Lead pipeline transactions, provide data for input and monitor the NBFI FIG pipeline
•    Assist in the reconciliation of client profit reports where necessary
•    Identify and originate business opportunities from existing and prospective clients through an in depth understanding of the key clients and industries within the NBFI FIG sector
•    Develop and execute NBFI Client Account Plans collaborating with relevant divisions including MHI, Europe Structured Finance Division (ESFD), Global Trade Finance Division (GTFD), Settlement & Clearing Services Division (SCSD), other overseas offices and group companies within the EMEA region to deliver Account Plan
•    General support of ECFD NBFI FIG’s ongoing business requirements

 

Dual Hat Duties and Responsibilities


•    Responsibilities will straddle both Mizuho International (MHI) and Mizuho Bank (MHBK)
•    Adhere to the Dual Hat Policies & Procedures which set out the permitted activities and ensure you conduct yourself accordingly, when acting in a dual hat capacity
•    Responsibility for identifying and resolving where there may be a difference or conflict in needs, between MHI and MHBK, escalating where required

 

Dual Hat Authority


•    Adhere to the Group’s Dual Hat Policies & Procedures, regulatory and compliance obligations and any other applicable policies made available to you, and as updated from time to time

 

Qualifications, Skills and Experience


•    University degree or equivalent experience
•    Extensive relevant experience within a top tier Corporate / Investment Bank is essential for this role
•    Proven delivery of high quality client presentation
•    Knowledge of Investment Banking products
•    Excellent skills in Microsoft PowerPoint, Excel and Word
•    Strong collaboration and communication skills
