What is the opportunity?

International Portfolio Management (IPMD) manages all post origination credit duties for Emerging markets relationships in Sub Saharan Africa (IFD) and Russia, CIS, CEE – (CFD) The team also covers product specific processes for Financial Solutions - FSD (ABS, Securitisation, REF, Islamic Finance, Aviation finance, etc). 

What will you be doing?

The role will proactively participate in the credit risk-management and monitoring of their portfolio of assets / clients with a view to keeping senior management advised of developments / issues that could affect asset quality and consequently provisioning levels. This also would entail  managing of the completion of all regular credit related processes such as ratings, closewatch, self assessment and any other credit related instructions, as well as waivers, amendments, extensions and any adhoc exercises.

What do you need to succeed?

  • Degree or equivalent qualification – essential.
  • Credit analysis skills, including CF modelling – desirable
  • Sound product knowledge covering loans (essential), and trading/treasury products.  (desirable)
  • Great organisational and time management skills – essential.
  • Excellent communication skills– essential.
  • Strong numerical and analytical skills – essential.
  • Sound documentation skills – essential.
  • Collaborative nature, in working with IPMD team, wider ESFD, MHBK and MHI to contribute to a successful team performance – essential.
  • High level of computer literacy - essential
  • Strong knowledge of credit and compliance process and procedure, as well as credit related systems, eg CDM –essential
