We are recruiting for an Associate Director for EMEA Payments and Customer Support


Profile Summary

To support the Customer Service Department Team Head with daily duties in the running of the operations & services outsourced from the various EMEA offices.



Providing quality & accurate booking and settlement services across a broad range of operational activities. This being in a cost sensitive manner whilst ensuring compliance with all procedures (HO related & local variances).


Supporting the processing of a number of customer & market related products (Clearing Payments Intl/domestic Euro, International payments, standing orders etc).


As a senior manager in the team, responsibilities will include supervisory and checking/controlling responsibilities.


Working cross culturally and cross border. Displaying awareness to these sensitivities whilst offering a “customer first” support standard and ethos.

Duties and Responsibilities

-    Participate in the processing of all European office Retail Operations business outsourced to EIOD including payments processing and ancillary operations functions.

-    To report to the Section Head delayed items, disputed amounts and provide updates on outstanding investigations.

-    Identify and resolve errors promptly, reporting to Section Head.

-    To ensure that nostro outstandings are tightly controlled

-    To assist in the preparation of the department’s external reporting and internal controls

-    To assist with projects and ad hoc tasks that further advance the abilities and scope of the Group.

-    To ensure that team members maintain competency in their changing roles by providing ongoing training.

-    To carry out objective setting and performance review.

-    Team building evidenced by good working relationships and harmony within the team.

      -    Adhere to the Mizuho London Branch Quality Management System

-    Show ability to cross-train self and others.   

Qualifications, Skills and Experience
Staff supervision experience.

Expected to have an understanding of a cross range of products looked after by Operations (some of which are):

  •  Current account management
  • Multicurrency domestic and International Payments
  • Expected to learn how the various systems are utilised
  • Demonstrable knowledge of Money Laundering procedures.
  • An in depth knowledge of the various payment processes involved in Domestic and International payments
  • Awareness of prohibited individuals, companies, countries and commodities as advised by the various global bodies including OFAC, BoE, BoJ etc .
  • Demonstrable skills in assisting with team building / teamwork.
  • System skills on Microsoft Office software.
